The Net Community Fellowship

No one should go without care because of what it costs.

The Net Care Fund · serving Alabama residents

Counseling is often most out of reach for the people who need it most. The Net Care Fund exists to close that distance — covering the difference between what a household can actually pay and what professional care actually costs.

The Care Fund

A sliding scale only works if somebody covers the gap

Plenty of practices advertise a sliding scale. Far fewer can sustain one, because a reduced fee still has to be paid by someone — the clinician's time does not get cheaper because a family is struggling. That difference is either absorbed until the practice can no longer carry it, or it is covered.

The Net Care Fund covers it. The Fund underwrites counseling for clients of Lifestyle Therapy & Coaching, so that a household's income is not what decides whether they get help.

The family pays what they can

Fees are set by household income and self-attested. No paperwork proving hardship, no means test to sit through at the worst moment of your year.

The Fund pays the difference

What the household cannot cover, the Fund does — directly to the practice, per session, so the care is real and the clinician is paid for their work.

Nobody is turned away

Inability to pay is not a reason to be declined. That is the whole point of the Fund existing, and it is the promise it is built to keep.

How it works

Four steps, and none of them are about your income being verified

Someone needs more than encouragement

A pastor, a friend, a group leader, or the person themselves recognises that this is past what care from a community can carry alone.

They reach Lifestyle Therapy & Coaching

Licensed clinicians and supervised interns. Counseling is clinical work and it is delivered by a clinical practice — not by a church, and not by the Fund.

The fee is set by what the household can carry

The practice's Sliding Scale Fee Program sets the session fee by household income, self-attested.

The Net Care Fund covers the rest

The gap between that fee and the true cost of the session is paid by the Fund. The client never negotiates it, and never carries the shortfall.

$30
per session
$50
per session
$75
per session

The tier is set by household income. The Fund's contribution is the difference between the tier and the actual cost of care — which is why giving to it goes further than the number on the receipt suggests.

Who it serves

Alabama residents

The Fund serves residents of Alabama receiving care through Lifestyle Therapy & Coaching. That boundary is not arbitrary: counseling is licensed state by state, and a clinician can only see a client where they are licensed to practise. A fund that promised more than that would be promising care it cannot legally deliver.

Individuals, couples, and families

The people the sliding scale was built for — a marriage in trouble, a parent at the end of themselves, a household carrying something it cannot name yet.

Referred, or self-referred

Some arrive through a church that noticed. Others come on their own. Neither route changes what they pay or how they are treated.

Give

Lower the price of care for someone you will never meet

A gift to The Net Care Fund does not buy anyone a service, and it does not buy you one. It pays down the cost of a session for a family in Alabama whose name you will not know.

Payment is handled by Stripe on their own secure page — card details never touch this site. You can cancel a monthly gift any time.

The Net Community Fellowship is a 501(c)(3) organization — EIN 32-0121208, Huntsville, Alabama. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a gift. You will receive a written acknowledgement for your records, and your gift is restricted to The Net Care Fund.

Would rather talk to a person first, or give another way? Email us — someone replies.

What we will not do with your gift

We will not tell you a story about a specific family to move you, and we will not publish the names or circumstances of people who received care. Their situation is not our fundraising material.

We will not claim a percentage or a headcount we cannot document. When the Fund has a real record to report, it will be reported plainly.

About

The Net Community Fellowship

A fellowship organised around a simple conviction: a community should be able to catch the people falling through it. The Net Care Fund is how that conviction reaches the one need a community usually cannot meet on its own — professional care, delivered by people licensed to give it, at a price a household can actually bear.

A community is a net. Its worth is measured by who it manages to catch.

Counseling is provided by Lifestyle Therapy & Coaching, a licensed clinical practice. The Fellowship and the Fund do not provide counseling, do not receive clinical records, and do not see who received care. Those records stay with the clinicians, where the law and the ethics both put them.
